This year the Carnival will be held on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July 2010. Caloundra Cup Carnival is the Sunshine Coast Turf Club’s major racing event of the year, this year boasting $1,005,000 in prizemoney.

Racing on Saturday 3rd July will include the $200,000 Caloundra Cup 2400m, $175,000 Reed Property Group Glasshouse Handicap 1400m, the $100,000 XXXX Sunshine Coast Guineas 1600m as well as a further nine races with prizemoney totalling on the day $855,000.

Punters can expect full fields with high class horses and the best jockeys from around Australia, bringing competitive racing to one of the most valued racetracks in Australia.

With roving entertainment and fashions on the field this day will be a day not to be missed.

The second day of the Carnival on Sunday 4th July is the Select Bathroom & Plumbing Race Day with prizemoney totalling $150,000. Amusements and rides have been organised for the children on this family fun day.

Welcome, my Lords and Ladies, Merchants and Peasants to a very special Abbey Medieval Festival and Tournament. This year is one of excitement and celebration as we hold the 21st Tournament on the 10th & 11th July 2010.
The award-winning festival received the inaugural 2009 Community Event Award by the Moreton Bay Regional Council in January.
The Abbey Museum holds the festival to raise funds to maintain its priceless collections. The Museum would like to acknowledge the support and dedication of the re-enactors and performers that makes the festival possible.

The festival is the largest authentic medieval event in Australia. It spans a thousand years in Europe and the Middle East from the Dark Ages to the High Middle Ages, from AD 600 to 1600.
There is something for all ages at the Tournament. The breath-taking pageantry of the Joust; the courage and skill of knights in armed combats; a new and spectacular Grand Parade with over 500 re-enactors parading from the castle; a Masque Ball, educational talks and exotic food. Visit the famous Medieval market to indulge your shopping fantasies or the Stag Inn and the Tavern to satisfy your thirst. There is music, dance, arts and crafts and rich photographic opportunities.

Have you ever wanted to sit on a jury, hear all the evidence and decide if the accused is guilty or not guilty. Now is your chance. In the latest BATS Theatre Co. Inc production, you as the audience member get to vote on the guilt or innocence of Sir David Metcalf (played by Paul Barrs). In the Act 1, Sir David finds himself locked in legal combat with his old rival Anthony Blair-Booth QC (Richard Luscombe) as he defends himself against the charge of murdering his terminally ill wife – Lady Metcalf (Sharon Grimley). After a tense & gripping courtroom scene, Act 1 ends just as we are about to hear the jury's verdict.
During interval each audience member has the chance to cast a vote.
Act II takes us back in time to the Metcalf family home & the fated night of Lady Metcalf's death, & ends with a surprising twist. At the end of each performance, one audience member will win a Double Pass to BATS next production “Scenes From A Separation” coming up in October.
