Fast becoming the most popular day at the races, especially for the ladies, Ladies Oaks Day is held on the Caloundra Public Show Holiday each year and is the biggest ladies day out on the Sunshine Coast.
Special guests, Fashions on the field, and of course the fabulous horse racing!!

A huge, fun day at the races & a chance to really dress up & strut your stuff at the fashions on the field, so ladies, don’t leave it too late to choose your outfit, order your gorgeous hat or fascinator to match, then slip on those Jimmy Choos, grab a glass of bubbly & have a flutter on the GG’s!

Fri: 8am to late with fireworks at around 6pm
Sat: 8am to late with rodeo at around 6pm
Maleny Show is held in the Maleny Showgrounds.
Fun and excitement for all the family. Features the best of what the region has to offer plus a line up of great entertainment throughout the day and evening.
Admission charges for each day:
$12.00 adults | $8.00 pension conc
$8.00 high school student | $3.00 primary school student | $25.00 family (2ad & 3 ch under 15)
Car/vehicle parking $2.00
Free buses operate from the Coast to Maleny.
Bus 1 leaves at at 9.30am from Kawana (outside Big W) then Mick's Meat Barn.
Bus 2 leaves at 9.30am from the Caloundra Bus Interchange, Cooma Tce, Caloundra.
Bus 3 leaves at 10.30am from Kawana (outside Big W) then Mick's Meat Barn, then Caloundra Bus Interchange. Drivers will also pick up passengers outside the Landsborough Museum on all buses to the show.
Buses depart Maleny Showgrounds for the return trip at
3.30pm & 4.30pm. No bookings required for the buses.

Collectorama will see the Nambour Showgrounds bustling with excitement as keen collectors prowl for bargains & other hard-to-find treasures. It’s kind of like e-bay all laid out in front of you—but so much more! Here you can touch, feel, pick up, check out, peruse, browse & negotiate while you have a friendly chat with some really quirky characters. And you get bonus fresh air & exercise in the great outdoors too! Experience the fun of Collectorama. So much better than sitting in front of a computer. It’s awesome!

This giant fair features more than 150 antique dealers with their wonderful antiques & collectables for sale in the relaxed country setting of the Showgrounds. It's mostly undercover so you'll be comfortable in any weather.
Whatever your budget you're assured of finding something delectable to take home. Whether it's glassware, china, tools, books, brass, toys, dolls, lamps, clocks & watches, vintage clothing, coins, records, retro items, militaria, kitchenalia, shipwreck goods, estate jewellery, tins, boxes, art deco, or furniture, to name a few, bargains are there to be had!
Admission is $5, food & refreshments are available.
There's ample free parking inside the Showgrounds. Come along & enjoy the friendly country atmosphere.

Join in Queensland's most scenic 3km or 10km fun run.
The 10km course hugs the Pumicestone Passage Marine Park from Bell's Creek at Golden Beach to Bulcock Beach and then around the Caloundra Headland taking in the spectacular scenery at Kings Beach & Shelly Beach before finishing at Moffat Beach.
Cash prizes to be won ($500 1st, $200 2nd, $100 3rd) & T-Shirts for 10km participants who register prior to Race Day

The event is organised by an enthusastic group of volunteers. All funds raised go directly to help resource the P & F at Our Lady Of The Rosary, Catholic School.

The Etchells Australian Winter Championship 2011

The Etchells Australian Winter Championship will be conducted off Mooloolaba from 9-12 June 2011. The annual Championship attracts the best Australian & New Zealand one-design class sailors to compete in seven race series. Previous winners of the series include America's Cup, Olympic class, Sydney-Hobart race winners & class World Champions.
The sailors enjoy travelling to Queensland to compete in the warm June winds blowing off Mooloolaba. The sailors usually encounter not only high-quality competition but also challenging sailing conditions. The Mooloolaba Yacht Club venue is well set up to host the Etchells fleet with good facilities, great hospitality & immediate access to the competition waters.
Mooloolaba accommodation for the sailors & their families ranges from camping to four-star+ self-contained units & luxury apartments, all located only a few minutes walk from the Yacht Club.
