Ballet Revolucìon is Ballet unleashed as only the Cubans know how.
Ballet Revolucìon premieres its world tour in Australia in July 2011. It is an explosive fusion of Ballet, Contemporary dance and modern hip-hop from the undisputed home of dance, Cuba. It will be a raw, fresh, dynamic Cuban Cocktail of unbridled passion, pure energy and athletic skill.

Featuring a Live All Star Cuban Band playing the hits from Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Santana, Ricky Martin, Chris Brown, Beyonce & many, many more.

Passion and ferocity are fundamental to Cuban dancers. They don’t just dance with the music they dance inside it and this is uniquely Cuban. This dynamism in Cuban dance inspired Producer Mark Brady and Jon Lee to create an exciting new dance event straight out of Havana and bring it to the world.

This is a unique opportunity to see some of the world’s most talented classical and contemporary dancers from the elite companies in Cuba perform way beyond their normal repertoires. Throughout the show, the performers demonstrate their phenomenal versatility, combining styles as diverse as classical ballet and hip hop. Ballet Revolucìon is a powerful blend of styles and genres set against a blend of sounds meshed with Cuban classics, modern Latin American and R&B hits by artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Shakira, Santana, Ricky Martin, Usher, Chris Brown, Beyonce and many more.

It’s an Evolution of Ballet as much as a Revolution.

Ballet Revolucìon’s choreography is a force of nature combining the styles of three choreographers to create an entire new work.

The Real Food Festival is a celebration of the wonderful variety of food that Sunshine Coast producers, manufacturers and restaurants, have to offer, and a brilliant way to talk, taste and buy from them.

Over a weekend the various activities mean that the Festival will feed everyone’s inner foodie and is a great way to explore the stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Saturday 30 roll up your sleeves and get growing, making and cooking at one of the many half-day activities including farm tours, cob-oven building, bush food cooking classes or simply relax and take in the fresh Hinterland air.
