Welcome to Caloundra City on
Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Australia

Caloundra is a scenic beachside city located at the southern
gateway to the Sunshine Coast, only 1 hr north of Brisbane. Through our virtual city we aim to make Caloundra accessible to everyone 24 hours a day because it’s just too beautiful to keep it a secret.
Caloundra really is the “City of Beach Days” & with 6 completely different beaches all in one place, you are seriously spoilt for choice,
each beach creating their unique holiday experiences.
From Golden Beach to Bulcock Beach, Kings Beach to Shelly Beach & Moffat Beach to Dicky Beach, stay a week & you can easily visit a
different beach every day & then check out the Caloundra Markets on Sunday! Caloundra is so versatile, it ticks all the boxes. You can swim in the clear blue sea, dive into the ocean waves, paddle in the calm
shallows, work on your tan, surf the breaks, fish from the jetty, boat or shore, kayak, jet ski, wind surf & explore this interesting piece of coastline — from Pumicestone Passage around the tip of Bribie Island
along the family friendly swimming beaches & beyond to the tip of Kings Beach, watching the freighters in the shipping lanes on the horizon heading into & out of the Port of Brisbane. Call in to Shelly
Beach, Moffat Beach & Dicky Beach & cross Currimundi Lake as you head further north towards Kawana & Mooloolaba.
Visitors can choose to stay in the centre of action right in the heart of Caloundra, but staying anywhere around here is literally right by the
beach! There’s plenty of entertainment venues & cinemas, fabulous tours, rollerskating & even skydiving for those wanting a holiday to remember! Be sure to include visits to galleries, wineries, cafes &
restaurants along the Blackall range as you discover the delights of Maleny, Montville & Mapleton; or escape to the Hinterland, stay in a luxury couples retreat, a romantic B & B or maybe even a treehouse!
Not only does Caloundra possess magnificent beaches stretching from the pristine Pumicestone Passage to Point Cartwright; it is also where
you’ll find the panoramic ancient Glass House Mountains, Steve Irwin’s world-acclaimed tourist attraction ‘Australia Zoo’, ‘The Big Kart Track’ &
‘Aussie World’. It doesn’t matter where you’re based, all that Caloundra has to offer is within an easy drive.
